We believe that every bottle has a story to tell. We hand select each bottle sorting through the sea of libations to find selections from families that are authentic, real and passionate. It is out pleasure to be your humble guide into the world of wine, beer and spirits.
In 1890 Giorgio Rivetti’s grandfather, Giovanni Rivetti, left Italy for Argentina, hoping to return someday with enough fortune to buy land and begin farming. Giovanni was not able to return, but Giorgio’s father Giuseppe did. In 1977 the family took up residence at La Spinetta (top of the hill) in Castagnole Lanze. Central to their success is a fanatical devotion to great vineyards, old vines and low production, quality grapes through organic farming. The Nebbiolo sourced from 15 ha. of the south-facing Starderi vineyard in Neive. The soils here are calcareous. The wine is fermented for 7-8 days in roto-fermenters before spending 12 months in French oak barrels with medium toast, followed by 2 months in stainless steel prior to bottling. The wine is aged for another year in bottle prior to release. The wine is unfiltered and unclarified.
