Roar Winery – Meet The Family Nick Franscioni
Why Not Wednesday with Stunning Pinot Noir from ROAR Wines
If you are a Pinot Noir drinker or collector, we beg you, do NOT miss this week’s tasting! We are lucky enough to have Nick Franscioni in the house pouring a very special line up of his family’s prized, single vineyard Pinot Noir that will have even self proclaimed Pinot naysayers falling to their knees crying, “We’re not worthy! We’re not worthy!”
Nicki Franscioni comes from a family of farmers stretching back 100 years, and, though the label wasn’t created until 1996, the Franscionis have been nurturing this land within the Santa Lucia Highlands for four generations. Between passion, care, love, high altitude vineyards and time with the land, they are making an array of wines that speak to the label’s name.
ROAR wines is called such because it represents the family’s passion for work and play, pays homage to the Monterey Bay winds that roar through the vineyards and the earthshaking roar of a stadium full of sports fans.
These wines have had an intoxicating effect on us, and, sadly, they are extremely limited and unavailable on the web so we’re offering a special deal to friends, family and neighbors today. Pre order any of the wines below and get a super sweet discounted rate only available online. Wines will be ready to pick up Wednesday anytime, but, of course, we suggest coming in 4-7 pm to taste nature’s bounty for yourself. We promise, you won’t be disappointed.

Santa Lucia Highlands
Designated an American Viticultural Area (AVA) in 1992, Santa Lucia Highlands is part of the western mountain range shielding the Salinas Valley from the Pacific Ocean. Located 15 miles inland on California’s central coast, between San Francisco and Santa Barbara, the region consists of southeastern-facing benches sitting above the morning fog and cooled by coastal winds that sweep in from Monterey Bay. The cooling fog, afternoon winds and extended sun exposure lengthen the growing season, allowing the grapes to hang on the vines longer, developing complex flavors while keeping their attractive, crisp acidity. This terroir makes the Santa Lucia Highlands perfect for growing premium Pinot Noir, Syrah, Viognier, and Chardonnay.
