Mother’s Day Wines
WNW presents Wines for Mom
Mother’s Day is approaching, and you might have already found yourself scrambling a bit. What to get for the woman who’s done more loads of laundry than there are electric scooters in Denver? Maybe we’re a bit biased, but we vote you look no further than Pearl Wine Company for the gift that confirms with each sip just how much you love your sweet mum. Whether it’s rosé, red, white or bubbles that she desires, well have a taste of it all this Wednesday from 4-7. Can’t decide? Buy ‘em all! Or get her a gift card! And if you’ve already gotten a gift, the wines we’re featuring will also play perfectly well with Mother’s Day brunch or croquet.
Now to the good stuff…what were pouring!
One rosé just wasn’t enough for us, and we thought you’d agree, so we have two pretty pink wines for you. First up is the Montgravet rosé from southern France. Dry, delicious, crisp and $10! Our favorite for summer value.
Our next selection is s not more orange than pink, but we’re throwing it into the category. The Attems Ramato is a “rosé” of Pinot Grigio. If you haven’t had one, you’re gonna fall in love! Texture and color from the Pinot Grigio skin that is gray (Grigio). Rosé is usually made from red grapes, but since Pinot Grigio and Gris have color, they, too, can make a pretty shade of wine.
Bubbles! We couldn’t leave something fizzy and celebratory out! The Bisol Prosecco Jeio is perfect for the occasion. Bright, clean and aromatic. Add juice if you want, but we prefer this one solo because it really shines.
We’ve got a red to finish up the line up, but it’s almost as pretty and alluring a red as you can find. The Palacios Pétalos Mencia is super aromatic, light on the tannins and totally chillable. Throw it in the fridge for 10 minutes and this wine sings.
2018 Montgravet Rosé, France: 100% Cinsault from southern France. Crisp and refreshing with notes of fresh strawberry and watermelon, herbs and some delicious briny minerality.
2017 Attems Ramato Rosato, Italy: This delicious wine gets its color and texture from Pinot Grigio skins. Savory notes of pink grapefruit, McIntosh apple and tangerine zest.
Bisol Prosecco Jeio, Italy: Delightful notes of green apple, pear, ginger and fresh cut flowers.
2016 Palacios Pétalos Mencia, Spain: A mineral and spice laden wine with notes of cherries, dark berries, violets and candied licorice.
